Every one of these are superb to me! I try but get the silhouette effect just as you said. And the high iso gives too much noise and eliminating the noise smoothes out the feather details I like in yours. No favorite among these, like all...hugs, Shirley

Makes no differnce to the photos but here I would call the birds hawks. Our buzzards are black with either blue or black featherless heads and necks. We use vulture and buzzard for the same birds. Definately looks like a hawk to me. Hugs, Shirley

These are brilliant, i love all the set including the last one it's a little different, which i like too,

and thanks for the info I have experienced that silhouette effect on birds too so i will have a go with your instructions, i just thought it was my camera, but i haven't tried having it set on spot metering before

Lovely set

ShirleyMarie - Here we are looking at Old World Buzzards - in parts of the world they are called Hawks yes New World Buzzards are vultures etc. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buzzard

In UK and Ireland we call all vultures vultures (not that we get any!)
