Death Valley

Hi guys

Here are a few shots taken on a recent trip to Death Valley. The temperature was 118 degrees and even at night it didn't dip below 80.

I looked everywhere for the skull of a dead steer as I think that's all that's missing from these shots, lol...but I couldn't find one anywhere

1. Death Valley Road

2. Badwater Salt Flats

3. Dry

4. Very Dry

5. Sunset walk 01

6. Sunset walk 02

Thanks for looking

Nice set Ian and I like what you're doing with the focus on these recent sets.

The 1st one is very 'Knight Rider' and I especially like the last one.

Re: Death Valley

Thanks guys

I agree about the Knight Rider thing. I honestly thought that in order for TV and movie directors to get that shot, they had to close off the road a few miles down, but they are actually like that. Sometimes you might not pass another car for hours, although there is one way in the distance of my shot if you look closely enough

As for the last one, it was actually taken by my wife Fiona as I was walking in front of her. I actually have the high res version as my desktop wallpaper. She's probably a better photographer than I am

Azz...feel free to nick it . I can send you a higher resolution version if you like

Nope...no flash used. It's just the light bouncing back up off the white salts.

Re: Death Valley

Love the perspectives in all of them, but the third shot is my fave.

Do really like the first one, I love this about America, you can go for miles on some roads and not see anyone,it's like you have it all to yourself for a little while
