Which composition (if any) is better?

I don't know which, if any, is the best. I was photographing my friends GSD and I love close ups...





Apologies they're not full quality as when I upload them they lose some of that.
Kit 1
Nikon D5100
Nikon VR 18-55 AF
Nikon VR 55-200 AF

|the firast although bit distracted by the chopped off tongue. Think if you o a close up of a dog then you have to go for a specific area for it to work.

I also like the first one.

Picture 2 If you had of taken your point of focus from the closest eye and pulled it in a bit more then you would be able to draw the viewer right in as if reaching into the dogs sole.

That is just what i think but i like them.
