a boat out of water

Seen this boat out of water when i was taking pics of the sea. Just wanted to know what you all thought of it? Honest opinions please! I know it's dark but don't know how to lighten it any more? please feel free to play with it if you can improve it thanks for looking, Kristian.

I like it dark.

Re: a boat out of water

Looks good K.

To get it lighter you might want to use a tripod and longer exposure times

Re: a boat out of water

I think this shot would have benefited from a tripod. The flash result is too strong, making the overall feel of the image a bit erm, snapshot(ty)

The subject is strong, so i would love to see it dominate the frame a bit more, as im getting distracted by the road leading away from the boat.

You need to start taking the cam out of AUTO mode, as it takes away from you as a photographer in a huge way at times like these.

Next time stick in in MANUAL, bump up the ISO and shutter speed and open up your apperture, oh and dont forget tp turn off your flash, or at least reduce the output

Re: a boat out of water

Good subject... I have one along the same lines somewhere... i'll dig it out tonight.
Just a little curious about the two white patches in the sky above the boat on the left. They look a bit too square/harsh to be natural...
