Baby Amelia

My first baby shoot

This is baby Amelia. I had such a mare trying to capture this little treasure! She was wide awake, fidgety and hated being on her tum ( I think it may have been due to the fact her belly button is sore at the min)

I dont think I did too bad on my first attempt but some feedback would be very helpful!! xx

Re: Baby Amelia

Aw thanks I cant begin to tell you what a struggle she was! I ended up chatting to a more experienced baby photographer yesterday on Fliker and she advised me to try and avoid babies older than 1 month for the very same reasons as why i had problems! I received lots of wicked advice and did some extra homework so fingers crossed the next will be more successful as TBH Im quite disappointed with these x

Re: Baby Amelia

Newborn photography is where I would one day like to specialise so i do lots of ready and researching on Flickr!
2 weeks to 3 months can apparently be very tricky! Under 10 days is teh ultimate time to do it.

Re: Baby Amelia

Here is my feedback on these:

Image 1
Baby is a tad pink.
The back drop is a little distracting too. I'd try ironing it before use and then trying to soften the effect of it either with your depth of field, having it less upright or by blurring it slightly in pp.

Image 2
Top half is gorgeous but the bottom half looks uncomfortable and precarious. I would try cropping it so you don't see below the belly button.

Image 3
Cute, funny expression which is a bit lost. I would try a portrait crop on this emphasing just the face and arms.

Just my thoughts! Feel free to ignore!
