Bought some new goodies for the holiday

Decided to get a few odds and sods for the holiday.

Some lens rings, filter holders, set of neutral density graduated filters and a manfrotto 322RC2 grip ball head with built in shutter release button (converted to left handed) so I can work with my one good hand

Just hope it doesn't chuck it down for a week now

I plan to Azz - not being able to drive limits me as I'm stuck with the same old places which I've done to death. Perhaps the filters will open new doors !

On the high peaks perhaps. Karen will hate it (because of my arm) but I will pack my gear for some climbing

I will regardless. No fishing or boating but (every cloud) I hope to enjoy the loch with my camera.

Is that real climbing or mountain walking?
My rock climbing instructor only has one arm and climbs and belays no probs.

Not rock climbing. I have done some before but it's not for me. Your instructor is perhaps more used to having one arm than me. I'd be worried incase I got an itch.

Scrambling is probably the best description of what I like to do.

Just waiting for Karen to get back from the hairdressers then we're taking Skye and Fingal to the kennels. I hate that - always feel bad.

Now thats probably more my cup of tea.
I do rock climbing purely because my son has a passion for it, but I'm not really brave or strong enough for it!
Could handle a bit of scrambling though!

I've had a wee play with the new tripod head and it's SOOOO much easier with one hand.

I think I may have had one of my famous Basil moment otherwise...........
