Getting To Know YOu! (Dawn)
This fortnight we get to know Dawn a bit better! 
YOP: Dawn - Tell us how you got involved in photography?
DAWN: I have been interested in photography for around 7yrs or so, working with dogs gave me a great opportunity to photograph them and try to improve my technique, hopefully capturing the dogs personality and breed character.
YOP: What in your opinion creates a great image?
DAWN: I believe any great image needs only to please the person who took it. If it pleases others then thats a bonus. Photography is very personal, for me, eye contact and less clutter appeals.
YOP: Who, if anyone has inspired you - photography or just generally?
DAWN: Photography wise I love the work of Ansel adams. His feeling for a photograph for me is amazing, they are powerful, thoughtful and very interesting images often in a most beautiful part of the world. Some of the Wildlife photographers inspire me too, like Andy Rouse.
YOP: Which type of photography do you find most enjoyable, or challenging, and why?
DAWN: Pet photography I enjoy a lot, I love seeing owners faces when they see an image they like, it means a lot to me. I also enjoy wildlife and captive animal potography. It is challenging because of the "human" additions, such as fences and mesh etc.. of course such things are to be expected in these environments, Id love to go "wild" one day, perhaps in Kenya.
YOP: What's your personal fave photograph?
DAWN: Mmmmm I have lots and I cant recall a personal favourite, although I expect if I could it would be of one of my pets!
YOP: What camera/lenses do you use most of all, and why?
DAWN: My Canon 40D, I love it! Lens wise, my Sigma 70-200mm F/2.8 is on the body all the time, its flexible and versatile, very fond of it! Great for dog racing and takes nice portraits too.
YOP: What is the future of photography?
DAWN: I dont think anyone can know that. I mean who would of thought that it would of come this far so suddenly, and be touching the lives of so many in such a short space of time.
