I did get dust in my 400D - just one speck - and it didn't want to shift - so I got a tin of compressed clean air - and gave it a low speed blast - that cleared it.... However I gather it's not recommended to use at full pressure, and if you're not careful - the canned gasses can give out a liquid discharge.. you don't want that on your sensors!!

A friend of a friend of mine got a kit from Canon to do his DSLR, so Canon must have marketed the kits.
