Canon gear collection

Not sure if this (direct swipe) will work - Originally posted on Dogsey but I thought it was at home here............

I was off looking for two my old bellows cameras to add to Nero's thread. Couldn't find them but I did find this which i'd forgotten about....

A couple of years ago a friend of the family was clearing a load of stuff out after her sister died. Anyway, this came my way as she knew I like photography.

What I got was a 'time warp'

I couldn't believe what was in the bag when I opened it. Apart from the camera there's filters, light meter, flash, cable release, leather film holders, cleaning equipment, all the receipts, booklets, even the original pencil. I think the tripod is cool - bakerlite and stainless steel extending to 4 feet from anout 10". The best thing though is the little 'period' livestock notebook containing her notes on some of the pictures she took and the settings she used.

As for the camera it's a canonet 28 and was purchased in 1971 for £120

Everything (apart from being a little dusty) is in perfect nick.

In addition to all this but not shown here is a really smart 1960's 35mm slide projector - again perfect with all the extras and booklets.

Hope you enjoy the pics

Re: Canon gear collection

I've just been up in the attic looking for a box of ornaments that are still packed up after we moved house 9 years ago as we've got a new display cabinet. Anyway, I came accross a big blue suitcase (from the same person) which is FULL of more photography gear. Flashes, Slide holders, Filters, A Slide Cupboard, Lenses, Bags, Light meters and more cameras !
