Re: Skeeter

Mozzy`s out in force this year Shirley? Would not surprise me with some of the weather you have been having over there. They are one thing we seen little of last time we were over there, even when when we went on the airboats in Seminole, expected to see loads but not enough around to bother you, did not receive one bite.

Nice capture anyway

Re: Skeeter

Now I tell you the truth, I was trying for a shot of a butterfly but it left just as I clicked. When I saw my photo on my computer...there was the skeeter! And we have a lot of them. I though they were a global pest except for polar regions. A summer picnic without skeeters? Unheard of! Like ants at picnics.
Our roof is leaking and we are having heavy rains! A bit busy.

Thanks for the comments, people, hugs, Shirley

Re: Skeeter

I think they are global pests Shirley, anywhere where its wet and warm anyway, we do have them here in the UK but not in large numbers, not in inner city areas.
Even though they can spread disease i find them quite fascinating, they are one of lifes survivors, been around for millions of years and will be here long after mankind has left this planet.
