Places of interest (for photography)

Thought it might be handy to get a list of some sort going where we recommend photography 'days-out'

Perhaps include:

Name
Location
Entry Fee

What you thought of it if you've been there

What do you think?

Cotebrook is great for a half a day trip,if you love heavy horses, it is heaven, you can get so close to a lot of the horses, some animals are behind mesh though. The Otters are fantastic, and if I went again I would take a tripod and just sit and watch them

The bird lake has many varieties of water bird, and chicken, turkeys and doves roam freely.

There is a nature trail that goes across the fields, where there are more horses, cattle and red deer. Take your wellies in your car, you can always pop back to the car and get them, as the fields tracks were very muddy when i went.Pigs, rabbits too.

South Lakes Wild Animal Park

http://www.wildanimalpark.co.uk/wildlifepark_home.asp

South Lakes Wild Animal Park, Broughton Road, Dalton-in-Furness, Cumbria. LA15 8JR

Tel: 01229 466086
Email: enquiries@wildanimalpark.co.uk

March 2008 - 2nd November 2008
10am until 5.00pm.
Last admission 4.15pm

They have walkways around the zoo so you can get great views of the animals and there are wallabies, lemurs, emus and kangaroos wandering round one part of it which is ace for photo opportunities!

It's £10.50 for adults and I think it's well worth it because it's a conservation centre and we had an amazing time there. Well worth a look!
