Portland Rose Test Garden

This morning's travel took me 5 miles to the Portland Rose Test Garden. Open free to the public there are hundreds of varieties of roses on display arranged in such a way that you can easily walk right up & touch them if you wish. For a photographer with a tripod like myself that's ideal. I can pick the flower(s), the angle & the lighting I want. If there's a leaf in the way I can gently move or reposition it in my composition. I love flowers so this is great fun for me. I hope you enjoy my "Keepers".

Very nice Bob.

I suspect you have different varieties to us but that third one reminds me of one I have in my garden called 'Masquerade' - it has multi coloured blooms - anything from yellow / pink / peach / red.

Since it is a test garden Phil There are many new varieties I've never seen before. I love # 3 also, the one that looks like a cross between red & yellow roses.
