What does that involve ?

The screen is 1920 X 1080 which (shape wise) = 1:7 ratio

My display options on my pc are

1600 X 900
1280 x 1024
1280 x 768
1280 x 720
1280 x 600
1152 x 864
1024 x 768
800 x 600

If I select 1280 x 1024 everything gets stretched as the shape = 1:25

If I select 1600 x 900 it's at least the correct shape as it's also 1:7

Re: Pimped my Workstation

Phil, what graphics card do you have? Right click on my computer in the start bar > properties > then device manager.

Alternatively you can open it up to see what graphics card is in there. If it's onboard and not a separate one get the latest drivers for the motherboard (or try windows update). If it has a proper graphics card then get the latest drivers for that model from the manufactures website (usually ati or nvidia).

Create a system restore point first tho in case you need to revert.

Re: Pimped my Workstation

It's just an off the shelf Dell

It says

Intel(R) 82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV Graphics Controller

Driver Date 21/06/2005
Driver Version 6.14.10.4342

There's a 'Update Driver' button and a 'Roll Back Driver' button

......if any of that means anything

Re: Pimped my Workstation

I would try a windows update then Phil. Or when you can afford it get a cheap (but separate) graphics card - that will be much better.. you don't have to spend that much either..
