Petter

SO! Finally got to try out the B1600's and some of the new modifiers! Went out to shoot with my buddy Peat. Pretty stoked on the outcome of this!

Re: Petter

Great shot Tommy.

Composition wise I like the placement of Peat and the screen of close grass on the opposite side.

Can I ask what you've done in terms of post processing ?

Re: Petter

That's a swear word to Tommy Phil - he doesn't do PP

Excellent creative shot you've pulled off there Tommy!
Very slight niggle - the blade of grass running across his nose and forehead - although it still works, just would have preferred it without it.

Re: Petter

Then the answer would be 'none'

I only ask as it appears on my screen to have something I can't quite put my finger on. The skin more than anything.

PS

I actually typed the same thing Azz about that blade of grass accross the face - but then 'backspaced' after deciding it made it look less set up. Easy to remove PP if need be.

Re: Petter

I guess the skin has that pp'd look to it because of the lighting

I don't mind it with the grass, just think I'd prefer it without those two blades..

Re: Petter

Thanks guys! I have done some PP in this one. Some levels/curves, B/W layers, sharpening, dodge/burn etc. The grass in his face was to make it look less set up.

Going to re-shoot this one with a better model and think more of outfit and everything. Thinking of a hot girl in "tomb raider" kind of clothes. Think that would look rad!

Re: Petter

Well - personally the shot doesn't do much for me, but I can definitely see its merit. I think Phil and Azz covered what I was feeling - that the grass, to me, would be better not there, but I see why you did it.

Good shot with your new kit anyway! Well done!
