Some images just seem better in black & white, more dynamic. I love the subtlety of tones that black and white images can have.
If i see one of my images and think it may work in B&W, i give it a try to see a side by side comparison in Photoshop. I then choose the one i like best.
This one seemed to provide more interest in the action taking place than it would have done in colour.

love it! great b&w tones, it has good contrast, but the shadows on the rider's face aren't too dark.
