Re: Swan

I much prefer color, Apache! Never the less this is a good picture and timed just right with the drips...
Had a phone call from my son last night and we talked about the wild swans that nest near him in the park for the township he is clerk for...assured me they are there and nesting as always..even before it was a park, the swans nested in there. He also said the "Mexican" swans were also out...there is a small pond that model boaters use and so do geese...swans are very agressive toward geese so he has bought two plastic swans (made in Mexico) to persuade the geese to stay away. The geese tend to spend nights on the docks, making the surface slippery for the guys playing with their boats. Some also attack the boats...big problems for the guys and their boats...so the plastic swans help...if they are moved around enough so the geese think they are real. They have long anchor ropes so they are moving a lot, still if in the same place the geese catch on. Shirley
