Dodge and Burn

The dodge and burn tool in Photoshop can be very useful for bringing details out on a photo

Here is a photo with no alteration ...



And here I have used the dodge and burn tools to emphasise the shadows and highlights...I have deliberately over done it to show you where it is effective
