The genius of photography

Just watched the last episode this afternoon and was wondering what everyone thought of it ? my first thoughts were how americanised the whole series was, where for instance was any mention of Bill Brandt, Robert carlos clarke, Lichfield, Cecil Beaton, Bailey, sebastion delgardo, of for that matter why was Ansell adams only mentioned once and that was in regard to the sale of an image at Sotherby,s not his printing and photography that revolutionised b+w landscape photography. I was expecting more tbh and considering the audience would be made mostly of photographers I though they could have been more challenging in some of the images they could have shown, after all there was nothing shown that hasnt graced the pages of AP most weeks, and lastly , why was Life magazine mentioned and not picture post ? sorry for the rant, just think they missed a good opportunity there.

I haven't seen it yet, got one recorded just haven't had the time to watch it yet...

One of the reasons I stopped watching the programmes was the amount of US references ...not that I have anything against the Americans, it's just the seemed SUCH a massive bias towards them
