Flowers are Alliums, as for the wee beastie, no idea. Can anyone help with identification.

Cheers Richard, Alliums same family as chives, so explains the resembence. After a bit of research i think your insect is a female Black-tailed skimmer, not something ive seen.

Off to stick pins in Fogey doll.

I shouldn't worry about Fogey, if he is into 'Puff', he won't feel a thing. LOL.

The first photo is interesting because of the intricacy of the flower globes. If it were me I'd attempt to isolate one blossom up close with good sharpness. As is this has too many blossoms in & out of focus to draw a viewer to the main subject.

The dragonfly also is nice, with a metallic look to his body. Good capture here.
