I knew the moment I took this photo that I had something very special. The intricacy and brilliant color is supreme. I would love to get this shot enlarged and displayed on my wall.

It has quickly become my favorite flow picture. I've taken hundreds in the past 6 years but this is simply vibrant.

Good word vibrant, notice it has an ISO of 1600, impressive.

Although an ISO would have been impressive for all but the top professional cameras just a few years ago modern technology has raised the bar considerably. My D7000 can easily shoot at ISO 4500 with little or no grain/noise. My new D800 can now claim the same at ISO 6400. Let's also remember that noise reduction software as well as new versions of Adobe Lightroom & Adobe CS6 Photoshow allow noise reduction at the RAW level. We've come a long way in the past 3-4 years.
