St Andrews Rock Formations

I've just got around to looking at some shots taken back in March during a stroll along the beach at St Andrews. There are some pretty cool rock formations and I'd like to go back and have another stab at them with a wider lens.

Lots of faces to find for those with a vivid imagination

Re: St Andrews Rock Formations

Nice shots Phil. Seems you had better light in March than you have had of late.

Re: St Andrews Rock Formations

The light was pretty good. It was early in the day and whilst it looks nice there was ice about and the wind was blowing. My eyes and nose were streaming and I couldn't feel my face or hands LOL

As for the rocks - The Carboniferous sandstones at St Andrews beach are approximately 335 million years old. They are part of the Asbian, Calciferous Sandstone Series.......
