No 2 for me GAZ. It still retains what is in the dark area to the right and most of the plant as well .

No 1 a leaf isn't in frame on the left or at the bottom. Too heavy a crop?

No 3 detail in the dark areas has gone

Thanks. This is fascinating. It seems that there is no *right* answer. Every shot, in different fora, is polling the same number of votes... It just goes to show...something. Not sure what..

Indeed, but I'd hoped one would get more votes than the others. The one that got the fewest likes here is, typically, the one I like best

On further study and reflection, no 2 for me also. Seems you have the camera set up well and your technique was good.
