Critters in My Back Yard

I have a veritable zoo in my own back back yard. We have a large flock of Mallard ducks, including one white one. I was there when “Whitey” was born so I know it’s not just a stray that joined the flock. We also have a growing family of Canadian geese that return every Spring to join us for the Summer & early Fall. Throw in squirrels that are tame enough to eat from your hand and it’s a readily available wildlife studio. These animals show no fear of the residents of our apartment complex. We have three ponds on the property that share the load of the animals mentioned above.

I used an old trick as he foraged in the deep ivy, I whistled. He popped right up as you see him, looking for the source.
