A few from falconry centre

Just thought I'd chuck a few of these up here too Some stuff from our trip back to the UK Just some shots from a falconry centre. The weather was not nice, and the light was horrendous - so I wasn't too displeased. Would like to visit on a day with much nicer lighting though Reckon if the light had been a bit better the images would have had more sparkle and pop - but still -was a fun day out with the husband and the MIL!

Re: A few from falconry centre

The Bateleur Eagle impressive headshot, no4 is really well captured, and I like how you've caught the Snowy Owl almost smiling Like 8 and 9 flight shots, Eagle owl?

Always impresses me when people get good flight shots, mine never come out the way I want, should really practise them more.

Re: A few from falconry centre

A great series of shots Laura especially in such poor light conditions, I particular like 1, 9 and 10.

The last two Owl in flight shots look very 3D with the nice soft background.

Re: A few from falconry centre

Again a lovely series of photos, especially the birds in flight. Cannot help but admire these beautiful creatures. For such poor lighting the images have come out very well.

Re: A few from falconry centre

Thank you all! Ken - I like your comment about being 3D - reminds me of the Guardians Of Gahool! hehe!

It was very difficult getting the shutter speed fast enough at times, I lost all the shots of the Bateleur Eagle in flight exposure nightmare! Having said that, I got these shots that I am pleased with Also got a feather from the Bateleur and from an American Kestrel! <3

MS - 2,7 and 8 are a Eurasian Eagle Owl wonderful bird too <3 believe he's called Eddie... (Eddie the Eagle Owl? ;D)

Re: A few from falconry centre

Lovely set - The Bateleur Eagle head shot is great and your Owls in flight are spot on.

The portrait of the young guy is good too - I bet he'd quite like a copy of that.

The older guy is a braver man than me - either that or he's thick skinned.

Re: A few from falconry centre

Thanks Phil and Stu! They were such a lovely bunch working there - I think I might try and send on a couple of the images, not sure if they're interested in them, but maybe they'd like copies, I dunno

Appreciate the comments
