Sunset Photos of The Pacific Coast

This is actually my first shooting of sunsets, ever. I seldom stay up late enough to even take one. I kept only two that I liked out of dozens. Here they are.

Cannon Beach, OR - Haystack Rock

Garabaldi, OR - Sea Rocks

It's not black but appears so because it's so close to sundown. Here's anotheer shot of Haystack Rock with more light.

Bob

OK, I can see now that it wasn't black sand, just a light effect. There are some black sand beaches in New Zealand I believe.

Re: Sunset Photos of The Pacific Coast

I was standing in the soft wet sand when a rogue wave covered my sanded feet, tripod & pant cuffs. Man Pacific Ocean water is cold!

Re: Sunset Photos of The Pacific Coast

Yes, i remember paddling in the ocean at Carmel, Ca in June and was very surprised how cold it was. Plus rip tides to watch out for. Decided to stay on the beach.
