Sunset - a day early unfortunately

One evening last week I went up the fields behind our house hoping to get a picture of the blood red sunsets we sometimes get.

Up at the bench (told you I'd manage a bench sooner or later) you're just high enough to get a good view of the western sky.

Anyway - without having too long to hang about - this is about as good as it got that evening.

Then, the very next day when I had no time to get up to the bench - the sky was kind enough to really rub it in and remind me (through a gap in the roofs) just what I was missing

Re: Sunset - a day early unfortunately

WOW!!! First of all fantastic benchWhat a view
I am envious of where you live! It always looks gorgeous.

The first sunsets are stunning, but the red in the last one, is awesome. I have never seen the sky that red. Does it happen a lot?
All three are great shots.

Yes - we get the red sky a lot - not sure why though. I just wish the view from my front door allowed me to see more of it as it's hard to predict when to go up the hill to get a better view.
