I do like these types of shots and I think you have done a very good job here. There had to be a but though, in pictures 1 & 3 personally I would have liked to see the tip of the green pencil in picture 1 and the purple in picture 3.

With the tips of the pencils missing just the very end of the tips my eye tends to keep getting dragged out of the picture (almost as if I'm looking for it).

Still like I said earlier, very good shots and hope you don't mind my small critique.

Find these very pleasing MS, love your ideas and your eye for design and colour. Do tell, in the pencil shots what are you using as the base board, it may be your kitchen work surface but whatever it is the reflection is just right, not too hard but clear enough to see, think lighting may have a lot to do with it too and you seem to have that spot on as well.

My personal favourite is number 4 but I like 3 too as I can almost smell the wood where they have been sharpened.
