Excellent shot but if I am allowed to say I prefer my squirrels with tail, or perhaps cropped to a portrait of head and front feet only. Sorry I am not criticising your work that is far better than I can manage just commenting on the impression it makes on me, i.e. my personal experience of the image.

Thanks for the comments. For some reason I didn't get the tail, I think it was laid out flat behind him ... next time I'll ask him to curl it up like in the posters

And just one more... this isn't for C&C as I didn't frame it very well and its not quite sharp enough but its cute... The shell was empty

You really have cornered the market in squirrels, would love to have taken any of your shots and would have been very pleased with them. Think the last is great; to capture it so close and with the nut in his 'hands' is some achievement.
