Re: Fs 3 Steez

Tommy, this picture as you already understand yourself is exceptional. Really great shot, good planning, great artistic foresight, technically exposed to retain some detail remaining in the foreground, and a measure of good luck...really I think this is good. I and I am sure many people would have shot this with so much less foreground, much bigger skater, and just in silhouette...and we have seen that type of pic many times but yours is so much more interesting with the landscape and human element. Great to see a shot on a relatively simple but competent DSLR with the standard lens too. Should be an inspiration that high end equipment isn't a necessity. If there was any suggestion for improvement it would be that the snowboarder was better defined as a human with a clear definition of what they are...maybe legs or arms more defined.

I saw this picture a day or so back and decided to come back and see if I still felt the same...really I think this is one of the best pics on this site. Well done...

Re: Fs 3 Steez

I'm gonna have to sell the D300 Azz. Can't afford to have a body that expencive just as a backup. That's what I've got the D70s for! The D70s is actually a really good camera! Unless you need really big prints I think a it will do the job perfectly in most situations. With the right glass of course.

Oh thanks a lot BlackCloud!
