The first shot does it for me Jack. Love the see-through framing. Nice touch. The reflections of the boat on the water are great.

I like these.

I agree with what the others have said in that the reflection works well in the first picture. I like where you've placed the boat in the frame too.

As it's all happening on the left hand side, a portrait / square crop (chopping off the right hand side) would be also be a strong (alternative) image ???

As for the second one - I love the colour and if it's a 'variation' from the same image - I'd love to see that one framed the same way as the first.

Phil - I have already done exactly as you suggested - I also took portrait shots of the same scene. When I get a moment I'll upload one for you.

Thanks for the comments about the frame - I too think it works particularly well (as in the first one)
