Duck Wings

Jack recently posted a great duck photo that reminded me of the great source of material literally in my back yard. The Mallards here are so fiendly they'll literally walk up to you laying on the ground and take a cracker off your chest. Here's a series I captured this morning just walking 100 feet from my back door.

I used my old Nikon D40X with a 55-200mm Nikkor Zoom just to prove good photographs still are possible with a 10.2MP camera.

Re: Duck Wings

Very nice! I should hope good photos are possible with a 10.2 mp camera! It's what many of us use And of course, it's not just about the amount of pixels.

Nice to see you using the D40x too though - and these are lovely shots - esp. number 2.

Re: Duck Wings

Four made me smile, do you think the one in the water just broke wind and that's why the other one's runnning away!

Re: Duck Wings

LOL Someone has quite an imagination. It looks like the one upside down is breaking wind and the one on shore is flapping it away.
