Re: Twin Crocus

LOL Jack I stuck 4cm on, an example of how different people have different ideas on what makes a balanced image. Mind you looking at it on here it is too tall to view so you are right at least for the screen it needs a bit of the top, reckon a no 2 comb don't you?

Re: Twin Crocus

snapper - if you are going to use empty space, that space needs to be an intrinsic part of the image; it has to add and say something.

Too much space and that's lost... the focal point of the image, and it's form must naturally lead into that space.

does that make sense??

Re: Twin Crocus

Yes it does, got carried away working with the leaves and light intrusive colours at the bottom, needed to increase the borders a bit, but over did the top. Think it needs to be deeper than at the sides but not as deep as I did.

Re: Twin Crocus

Another nice shot.

Whatever you've done to the yellow crocus 'flower' you've also done to the green part poking up in front of it.

Re: Twin Crocus

Very nice, love the colour.
i think it would look even better with a pure black backdrop, there is something slightly distracting in the background ?
