Fledgling Coal Tits

A few from the garden this evening - the fledgling Coal Tits are out in force at the moment and are quite tricky to photograph as they seem to prefer waiting 'in' the bushes to be fed. A bit of twig 'arranging' next to the feeders eventually got them out in the open.

Gorgeous light Phil, cracking set, and detail, loving 1 and 3, and their poor parents do look so dishevelled compared to the babies . Kids

Re: Fledgling Coal Tits

Thanks Moonie - they are like giants compared to their little mums and dads.

I don't want to sound all 'Spring Watch' but it's amazing to see them develop.

One parent arrives and chirps and just one little (big) baby comes. No idea if it's 'mum' or 'dad' but it's just one parent / one baby.

On the other hand there's a whole heap of babies that arrive and 'cheep' (about 6 or 7) and from what I can gather both parents come to feed them.

The photography is enjoyable but what I enjoy is just chilling out watching them find their way in the world knowing that my garden is helping them on their way.

Thanks Laura

Love having them in the garden but little Casper (Hannah's Kitten) is making life difficult.

I was going ask how Casper was coping with them? I wouldn't trust Lily, but Daisy will just watch birds while laying in the sun, I don't think she can be bothered to move TBH
