14mths!! I thought she was about 8mths, where did the time go!!

The time flies doesn't it! Mina has also already been hip scored to check her hips are ok

No organisation will let any dog under 12 months take part in a competitive pull. After this age it is down to the owner to decide how much they let their dog(s) pull. I regularly withdraw mine when they get to certain weights.

As GH says, we have had Mina hip scored and we even had her elbows tested too as we are working her, the results have come back very good so as long as we take it easy and build her up slowly we can train her to pull some heavy weights. If Mina didn't want to do it then she wouldn't her 1000lb pull she refused to do but i think she just wanted sausages!!

I have no doubt about her dong it Sam, I just didnt think she was that old. Im pleased she is doing something to keep her fit and happy. Can I ask her hip score? Purely being nosey, a friend of mine has had her male done at 13mths, it came back 11:11.

She has a hip score of 13 so right on the BMS, i am waiting for the vets to get back to me to tell me the score per hip. Her elbow scores came back as 0!

13 is really good, my friends dog scored 22 as I said, they were a little dissappointed but only had him done as he was lame on his hind legs when getting up, they did it "properly" to make sure the plates were looked at by experts. They were delighted though that he didnt have HD, but a bit dissappointed that it was 22. Thankfully he has "Pano" or growing pains and will be fine when he has finished growing.
