Photo papers?

I don't know if theres a thread already like this, so sorry if there is >.<
I was just wondering, what is your preferred type of paper when printing your photos? Like gloss, matte etc.
I've tried matte and some cheap gloss my Dad picked up from some computing fair thing he was at, but I can't decide which looks best. Some of my photos look better on matte than gloss, hmm. I tired some Fuji paper I borrowed from a friend and that look really quite nice, but it was really expensive.

Re: Photo papers?

I use Epson premium glossy - i love it

I also have some of Jessops own which is extremely good too.

However saying that, when doing work for clients i use online printing

Re: Photo papers?

Jessops do all my prints, 90% of my stuff is on matt paper, so there's less glare on them and fingerprints dont show as much...

Re: Photo papers?

I'm not really much of a printer, but for 'photos' (like to show family etc) I'd go for glossy

Re: Photo papers?

I have always used epsom glossy as well.

Although I never print any stuff myself anymore mainly I use photobox.

I just store the pics on want printed on their site and then order them when I want to.

I find it cheaper than buying ink and paper.
