Do you shoot much in the dark CL?? Otherwise its not worth the extra cost.. I spent weeks looking into them both and got the 1.8

Well...um i like to do shoot using natural light esp the window light and indoors ,When i check out pics done by f1.4 they are amazing

LOL The 1.8 works with that just fine The 1.4 was designed for low light conditions such as concerts ect

Obviously its up to you, just hate to see you spend more money than you need too!

Azz i have ordered this lens before about a three weeks ago.....so i waited and waited for this delivery for a week which it supposed to be 2 days delivery When rang them up, they failed to tell me they were outta stock for 6weeks !!!! so i cancelled

Including a 3 day Fedex delivery you can get it for £167 from a reputable camera store in Hong Kong. I've actually been into the store, and purchased there personally, it's a real shop full of real people. It appears they have it in stock:

If you're desperate could be worth a try They don't do fakes - fully authorised reputable dealers. If you purchase the 10 day delivery - you'll save another £10 off that price... There is a risk that you pay VAT on arrival though - slim - but possible. I've never been charged VAT on any orders from HK - but something to be prepared for!
