Re: Ben Lomond

DJ

I know the lens has 'pulled' Ben Lomond forwards, foreshortening the image making it appear closer to the foreground but I'm still a bit stuck as to where the shot was taken.

This picture has been stuck in my head all day as I was over that way today. I first thought perhaps Helensburgh but then wondered if it was taken looking accross the Langbank / Dumbarton area with Ben Venue peeking out over the shoulder of Ben Lomond ??

Please put me out of my misery

Re: Ben Lomond

Postcard shot in the very best sense of the word.
The contrasting light on the Ben and the perspective with the buildings as already mentioned makes for a great shot.
The following shots are even more amazing though.
How you managed to get so far up in the air to photograph those big yellow pins and words is exemplary! Super well done!

Fraze.

Re: Ben Lomond

Thanks for the reply DJ.

I'm a bit anal (LOL) when it comes to Scottish Mountains and this one had me puzzled for a while. Knowing Ben Lomond I knew the direction you were shooting from but I was still stumped. It was only once I thought about your 'lens' I was able to pull back & back & back enough to figure out just how far the hill and the foreground were apart in this shot

Great example of what your kit does.
