BC, I pretty much agree with all you are saying, except the bit about it being a shame the influence that Photoshop has made. I hold the opposite view, I feel PS, and the capacity to turn what might be a mediocre shot into a stunning one is all good in my eyes.

My only objection to the use of digitally enhancements are where someone tries to alter the course of history, or in the instances where the truth is in the photo, such as medical or scientific reporting, etc.

Magazines - I buy more when Im in the UK on account of a £3.99 mag costing £8 (Yes, £8!!!!) here in Cyprus. I now subscribe to a Canon mag - which ironically is cheaper to order and post from the UK, than it is out here.

I didnt know it was still available, I used to get this each month about 3yrs ago.

I had never seen it beforeI have read some more of it today, and I am finding it really helpful.
