Re: I got a new camera!!

I know how happy you are since I bought myself one last Christmas. I started shooting in full auto & quickly discovered that would never do. I switched within a week to "A" aperature priority & have been there ever since. Since I don't photograph things that move aperature priority works for me. If you're into pet photography or sports "S" Shutter priority is for you.

The most important thing is HAVE FUN! Congratulations!!!

Re: I got a new camera!!

Thanks Bob! I was gonna use Auto to get used to it at a first, then move on to all the different modes....slowly! But advise is to start with manual and learn bit by, hmmm not sure, I guess practice will be the thing to do!

Re: I got a new camera!!

The reason I brought up "A" Aperature mode is better control of depth of field without the need to post process. "Auto" doesn't give you that option, it makes the decisions for you.

Re: I got a new camera!!

We just entered what might be the beginning of our wet season. That lasts seven long months. A good majority of the Fall leaves are on the ground in most places. I had some serious physical problems creep up on me this week so I won't be riding my motorcycle until they are resolved. I can't wait to see your work with your new camera.
