Love it, can you get rid of the bin, or what ever it is at the far left of the houses.

Always curious why people ditch colour, why did you?

Re: Black & White +

This has some very interesting tones, I like it!

xx

ETA - would agree with Jackie about the bin, and me personally - I'd try to get rid of the cars too but would appreciate why some may want them left in. I think the picture would make more of a statement - perhaps about handsome little fishing villages - if there were no cars! But then... I hate cars

Re: Black & White +

Yep, agree with above, the cars and the bin are a shame as the image is nice otherwise and could have been taken at any time in the 30 or 40 years or more unless you understand that the tv aerials are also more up to date! Personally I'd have to give it more punch, more contrast but that's my taste.

Re: Black & White +

Lovely setting, you can't really move peoples cars or bins which is a shame really, still a fab image, looks like lots of photography ops, I love little boats.

Re: Black & White +

You already know I like this image from your Gallery - bins, cars, etc... they are there; they don't detract from the image - if you waited for 'ideals, ifs and buts - you'd never get any photography done!

Although perhaps as BC says, a tad more contrasty 'punch' wouldn't go amiss.

Really nice image and composition.

Re: Black & White +

I love it too warts and all! I think its works in B&W, I think in colour all the "warts" would be too distracting.

Re: Black & White +

This is a small Northumberland coastal village. I took the snap while I was up there on my hols. It looked nice in colour and I wondered if it would have the same impact as a black & white. Now you can tell me.
