On-Location lighting workshop

Booked in to do a on-location lighting workshop, next weekend. Really looking forward to it, they supply the models, and the location, a loft space in an old tobacco warehouse, which is now hired out for functions. You bring your equipment, so I get to give my AB's a really good work out

Local beauty academy does the hair and make up,so it works for everyone. The photographers get experience, the stylists get to work in a shoot situation, the models get prints for their portfolio.

I joined a local camera/strobist group, designed to help photographers network with models, make up artists, stylists etc. I thought it would be all amateurs, but I'd say 40 % are Pro's.They have regular workshops and seminars.

I have booked in to do a photography business and marketing seminar, next month, looking at developing your niche, and brand name, networking and marketing yourself, the common mistakes photographers make, how to price your work, knowing your market, plus the legal side of photography. America seems to be all about "networking"

Excellent stuff Suzi! I'm sure you'll learn loads. You'll have to bring us some of this wonderful knowledge I wish there were things like that around here, there are some things... but they are horrifically expensive.
