Lifeboat Station, at sun up..

I managed to get out for an hour at sun up this morning..(fool) any way I went to the lifeboat station as it's one way of getting a bit of added interest in my seascapes..and I like all of the shadows it creates.

Thanks for looking, Steve.

Re: Lifeboat Station, at sun up..

I have just found this one as well from this morning, it was a while earlier while it was still slightly dark...I quite like it though.

Re: Lifeboat Station, at sun up..

I prefer the second one, seems more peaceful and quiet to me..
Reminds me of the lifeboat station I visited several times in Michigan (I was born and lived there until 3 years ago) Up near the top of the thumb...the bunkhouse for the coastgaurd crew was up ontop of a large sand dune..a wooden slide led from the front of the bunkhouse to the water and a boat was ready at the top for the crew to jump into and let loose the ties and off they would go, on the wooden rails into the water. I had no camera in those days and the last time I went up there it was all gone and only big summer homes and camping places there. Now I wish i had photos of what I saw there. Shirley

Very nice Steve. Looks like your early start paid off.

I can't decide which of two shots I like the best in terms of colour and exposure but I think I prefer the composition of number 1.

Re: Lifeboat Station, at sun up..

Thanks for all of the replies..I am just playing with filters and land/seascapes at the moment in readiness for my trip to the western highlands at the end of next week...

Phil, if the sun comes out this week up there, can you try and make sure it stays out for a week or two...

Steve.
