A little help needed!!

Well firs tof, thanks for all your help in choosing my new camera...

Nikon D40x......I love it , and having fun, playing around with it...although I totally confused with all the setting and so on.....got my self in a mess once or twice.

Anyway, to the problem I would like to get some really nice photos of the dogs, and blow them up and frame them for my hubby's b/day.

This is one I took (not good enough yet) just experimenting....but what I cant get rid of, is the green eyes.....please if you can advise ,Will be grateful,

Here is a pic, I too, I know it is not right yet, to dark and such, but the eye thingy is getting to me.

Re: A little help needed!!

I have no idea how to use photosuite, but it should be capable of sorting out the eyes - can you apply layers ect??

Photoshop is expensive if your just doing small corrections, so if you wanted a similar software, photosho elements is much easier to use

Re: A little help needed!!

Your camera can also reduce the red-eye before or after the pic is taken

Before you take a pic

Just make sure the flash mode is set to red-eye:

Hold down the flash button which is the button on the left side-top (nearest the flash) then with your right thumb, move the dial until the flash on the display shows a lighting bolt and an eye

After you take the pic

Press the PLAY '>' button, then go to the pic that needs red-eye reduction, then click on menu, and go to the retouch menu, then simply click on red eye reduction

Re: A little help needed!!

Just had a quick 2 minute mess about with the phot. Will pop on photobucket now and put it on here in a couple of secs. It's not great, but see what you think. The program I used I think cost me around £50
