mmmmmm Tasty Bug

I found this hard to get (what I think) bang on. It was taken a few hours ago in the dark. I had to use my 270ex flash. I tried to take it down one notch but came out to dark so left it as it was (on -/+0).

No idea what the spider is. Not seen that colour one before. Anyone know?

The bug thing it has was about a millimeter in size.

I lived with my mum from 11 to 17 in a 300 year old cottage where spiders were ripe, so they really don't bother me....... Not in this country anyway

Great shot Dave.......Thumbs up for perseverance. Its a Araneus diadematus by the way, a common garden spider. A next test for you would be getting it head on, so you could see all of its eyes

Thank Mark. I did try and turn it round so it was facing me but it ran and hid. I waited a minute then gently tapped with web, it came speeding out again. I got a few more pics, but the angle and the fence by me it was impossible to get a head on shot.

Are you sure that when you tried to turn it around it was not you that ran and hid Dave,lol.....
