Victorian (style) Lamp Post
The building is Victorian, but I don't think the lamppost is (especially the energy saving bulb lol)

I used the 50mm F1.8 and got as close to the lamp post as I could, so that I could get a really shallow DoF and make the building really out of focus. Only problem was that the lamp post was quite tall, and I am not, so I had to stand on tippy toes with my camera hoisted one handed at arms reach, so I took a few shots before I got one that looked any good

It works well that dof although I probably wouldn't have noticed the bulb if you hadn't mentioned it.
We've got lamp posts like that in the village where I live. I like the old horizontal bar for resting a ladder against.
