Speedlite Strobist gear?

After being extremely happy with the result from my Canon 7D when used with my 50mm prime lens, I'm looking to make more use of my 430 EXII speedlite now I can trigger it from the on camera flash.

Now I've seen you can purchase kits that come with a speedlight bracket, stand and two umbrellas.

Is there any difference in purchasing a said bundle, or would it be cheaper to purchase stands and umbrellas separately?

for example: Two mini Umbrella's & Flash Bracket Kit

and A Stand.

While I understand they're not the most expensive items to buy, I'm trying to be cost effective after demolishing my finances on my 7D, I am however keen to expand my lighting so I can practice using it off camera.
