3 faces

Poor Mack. is becoming very concerned with all the packing activities, maybe he thinks it means another scary plane ride so at the moment he is even more of a shadow. So these are just quickies, shot from sitting on the floor, where I was sorting stuff out, with him sat next to me, watching everything.

Shows how different he can look in the space of a minute or two, and how you can see the GSD, Sibe and Mal in him, depending on what he's doing

His GSD, total adoration, and constant shadow face

His Sibe, I am super intelligent, and can we please go for a run, now? face

His Mal, I am big, goofy clown, play with me face

Thanks x

Like the GSD face best but then I suppose I would, do wonder where he gets the orange marking from, is that the only patch?

He looks very serious in No2, that is his normal outside face, he usually a combination of the other 2 indoors

I am not sure TBH, I have seen Red Mals and Huskies, but he is quite orange, I have always wondered if maybe some Akita in there??? I have seen pics of a big red Mal cross that was used in the early days, I guess I will never know.
Here's a recent pic of his body, the light is very different though as it is a very dark wood, but you get the idea of his markings, his back is now changing from pure black to a dark grey grizzled too. Never had a dog before, that has changed so much from a pup

Re: 3 faces

See what you mean Suzie, the back is fairly typical GSD but the orange is strange but I suppose it could just be the effect of the combination of the different breeds and breed coat colours. Not that it matters to you or him but I did wonder where that sort of colour came from.

Perhaps he is a secret smoker

Bless him, he is strange mixture but I really wouldn't be surprised if somebody said Akita's were used too, TBH anything that was available, he is probably more mixed up, than any Heinz 57 in a rescue

But, like you say he doesn't care, and I don't, it would be nice to find out, but I guess he will always be a bit of a mystery Personally, I think the breeders were smokers of strange substances

Re: 3 faces

As you say the breeders were probably on something, he looks very GSD apart for the smaller ears, that is usually the one thing these breeders get wrong but your boy has good ears. I think the patten of the orange markings is roughly where the GSD would be brown or gold so I would think it is just a dilute but the face mark is a puzzle.

Still it is interesting to be different and he does not look worried in fact he looks a very happy dog.
