Re: Which camera mode do you usually shoot in?

I always try and use the correct mode for the subject and if I, not in a hurry I like to try it manually I think you get beter results that way.

Re: Which camera mode do you usually shoot in?

I use AV (Aperture priority) for my shots to have control over the DoF. I then toggle around with the f-stop and to see what effects I can get with various subjects

Re: Which camera mode do you usually shoot in?

Although i have a p&s-i dont use auto.I prefer to take a good few photos in various different settings so then i can choose which ones are best when uploaded onto my laptop.Landscape pictures i take in landscape mode cause it tends to give better depth of colour.

I choose the Aperture, ISO, WB etc that I want and the camera adjusts the shutter speed. I used to use Tv (Shutter Priority) for action shots, but wanted more control over the DoF, thus changed to Av.
I do all of this too dependent on what i am shooting... portrait shots are most of the time set in AV as i like a shallow DoF to get a sense of softnes to the image especailly for animals... Sports and Water i shoot in TV as i like to adjust the shutter speed accordingly... night time and landscapes are set to M generally and also Manual Focus. I use auto focus a lot too as i am never 100% sure if the image will be in focus.
