Love the sky in 1 and 3, very threatening.

There seems to be loads of weird mushrooms about this year.

These are all incredibly beautiful and beyond my capabilities!

I am sorry I have been so missing from this group but life has thrown a lot of obsticles..it seems daily lately.
I would really miss your posts Richard.. even if I am not posting here..
I do admire everyone's work, especially yours.

I have jumped into LR 5 with both feet and loving it, but being totally new to Light Room and not a gentle learning curve...a little hesitant to post photos. (just yet)

Re: Quite possibly my last YOP photoset posting!

Many thanks for your kind comments Sharon.

Please don't be hesitant to post. YOP are an incredibly friendly lot and will give honest helpful comments.

I started with a bridge camera about 2 years ago and moved onto the DSLR one year ago. I am still learning and still make loads of mistakes.

You are ahead of me using Lightroom. As I am still very inexperienced in RAW/NEF image processing virtually all my photos are shot in JPEG fine using Helicon to process in a basic fashion afterwards.

Hoping to get photo elements 12 shortly.

Sharon you said,

Having looked at your album I couldn't disagree more, it contains some lovely shots, not a duff one among them. The Swan shot is great, it is so easy to blow the white on Swans.

You are better than you give yourself credit for.

Re: Quite possibly my last YOP photoset posting!

Thanks you for the kind words Richard!

I am amazed at the functionality of Light Room 5 and already glad I took the time to learn how to use it.
I had saved RAW images from 2 years ago of a waterfall in a Caribbean rain forest, and so glad I did. They still weren't great because of low lighting..but usable now.
I can export a photo into Paint Shop Pro Photo work in layers, and then return to Light room for final save.

I put a photo in my album..called altered reality as an example.
( It is 68 year old snapshot of my husband and his sister in a tub that she sent me..."now having fun in a mills waterfall".)

I can highly recommend LR 5 to everyone!!
