Gtreat idea Katie, as you probably aware these sort of images lead the eye and you cannot help but follow the track. It sort of works, but there isn't a grand finale... almost like the eye follows, and scans around but doesn't actually feel as if there is a final completion of a whole image.

Also here is a little tip... these sorts of images generally either have a completely sharp image throughout or very shallow..by controlling depth of field and point of focus. The camera is probably focussing on a central point in the image, and consequently the foreground is out of focus. You need to switch to manual focus or else lock a point of focus somewhere around the 4/5th sleeper. Select f16, have a tripod and you will likely get bitingly sharper image from front to back.

You might find the image looks good in colour in a morning or evening orangy contrasty light. The rusty rails, blue sky (darkened with a polariser), green foliage...if this is nearby and you can shoot it any time you like, just an idea to think about.
